Summer Sprinkler Splash

Usually when we go to the pool, Emily will only sit on the edge and get her feet wet. She does not like to get wet. She does not like to be splashed. So Desi brought out the sprinkler the other day. Notice Emily's hair is still dry and so is her suit.
And then there's Lilly.
It's just not very fun is she can't get soaked!

Our new neighbor

Our new neighbor has a daughter about Lilly's age named Emily. Emily has really been coming out of her shell lately and spending more time with Lilly. It's great for Emily's mom and myself because they are really learning to play together. And Desi and I can just relax and talk.
Lilly was not able to attend Emily's birthday party. Lilly helped me wrap her gift. A few days later I came home to find a wad of paper on the table. Ernie informed me it was a gift for Emily. Lilly had painted a few days prior and used her artwork to wrap one of her stamps up to give Emily. How sweet is that?
Emily came over one evening for pizza and we decided to make some cookies. Apparently, this was Emily's first time to bake. She did really well.
They both shared and worked well together. Great job girls!

Celebration Party

I have a friend who was diagnosed with breast cancer last summer. She finished her chemo and radiation so we celebrated recently. Lilly played with Terry's rocks.
She chased Terry's dog, Ringo all over. She held on dearly to this balloon I bought her earlier at the store.
But mostly, she played on the hammock. She had such a good time swinging in it.

Circus Flora

We tried going to the circus again this year. Last year Lilly lasted about five minutes and then she and I left the big top to explore the great outdoors. This year she lasted about 20 minutes before we made our exit.

She got to ride a pony. She wasn't scared of it at all. She just soaked it all in.
We left the circus at intermission and went to dinner with the Heffingtons. Here she is with her boyfriend Cole.

Tea Time!

Lilly is now an expert tea time hostess, as well. She will give you your own cup. And will offer you sugar and "cream-a".

She has treats to offer you and sometimes you get to have the treat you actually want.
And you will have tea and treats most of the day.
Pinkies up!
