Where?

Conversation with Lilly today: We were working on our USA puzzle and I showed her where her cousin, Dylan lives. A few minutes later, I asked Lilly, "Where does Dylan live?" Lilly responded, "Dylan-saw." I hope Arkan doesn't mind.

Welcome Spring!

So we are finally feeling better and so is Mother Nature which can only mean one thing. We will be spending some time outside. Pushing our mower down to Brooke's house.

And going to the park. Lilly has really grown up so much lately. She definitely understands the dangers of germs now so she cleaned the playground.

The whole thing with all the baby wipes we had.

And then we played.

She was so happy to be outside!

And because it was 8AM on a Sunday, we had the place to ourselves!

Happy Valentine's Day 2011!

Not a good day for any of us! We were both still sick. Daddy got Lilly an adorable necklace from Stella and Dot. She really liked the tin it came in. He got me a couple of bracelets that I loved, but lacked the energy to even appreciate it. Lilly and I planned on making him some candy for the holiday, but we couldn't even move so all he got was the card we did a week earlier.

Aunt Tara sent Lilly a couple of dresses which she will like this spring. She really likes the bloomers Aunt Tara so thank you.

Germs...

Are a nasty thing. Saturday, Lilly and I went to Little Gym and then the grocery store. We came home for our lunch date with Kristi and Anita. Lilly started throwing up around noon and didn't stop for several days. And she looked awful.

And angry....

Sorry to Kristi and Anita who also got our bug. May you forgive us soon and come back to see us!

Super Bowl XLV

So my friend Angie came over to watch the game and we made some delicious burritos. She even brought Lilly an early Valentine's Day gift.

Kids? Her? No, she doesn't have any. Why do you ask?

And she loved every piece.

And my little genius licked every single one of them and put them back in the box so everyone should take note. Please do not eat anything in our house without asking first. It could be licked!

Snowpalooza 2011

So the meteorologists told us all about this horrific storm coming. My area should expect at least 7 inches of snow. My new boss closed the office and we both stayed home waiting for our snow. All I got was a whole day of freezing rain and sleet. 4 inches of ice. 1 inch of snow.

They apologized. Yes, apologized for getting the forecast wrong. And then forecasted another system that would bring anything from a light dusting to 2 inches. And we got 5 inches! What computer models are these people using?

But Brooke and Lilly enjoyed it.

Brooke and I tried to teach Lilly how to make snow angels.
