Anne Geddes

I am sure we all know who Anne Geddes is. But she better watch out because Lilly is getting a pretty early start on her photography skills.

And she is completely happy entertaining herself.

I can't imagine this is good for her eyes....

This? Yes, this is what happens when someone (let's call her Grandma AKA Mimi) takes the camera away to show her how to do it correctly. Way. To. Go.

Lillyment

So it was raining on Sunday morning so we were not able to go to the park so we painted instead!

believe it or not, she did actually put some on the paper, not just her face and in her hair.

And this prompted a very early bath which she doth protest way too much!

Sunday Fun

Most people go to church on Sunday mornings. I use to be one of them. Until last week. I took Lilly and she screamed and cried so loud when I left her in the nursery with other people her size to play. It was bad. I even started crying. They called me to come get her after a mere 10 minutes.

So Lilly and I went to the park. And see how happy she is!

We rode the big girl swing....

and climbed the stairs to the slide...

and oh how we loved the slide!

Pocket Squares

I took a half day off work today and got to hang out with Lilly! I woke her up from her nap to find her in the cutest overalls ever. With a pocket on the front. Ernie has been teaching her to put her used tissues in his pocket so I pointed out her pocket on her overalls. And she needed something to put in it!

And because we were on our way to Michael's, we used one of mom's handkerchiefs that actually matched her shirt. And she liked it so much that when it fell out at Michael's, she insisted I put it back in her pocket immediately.

Desk Re-hab

Remember the desks I bought Lilly at the yard sale? I painted one of them!

And I put it in the middle of the kitchen so she can draw and entertain herself while I cook. It is also in the perfect place for running into and tripping over, but that's a small price to pay for peace.

Getting to know you...

is to know your car. And Lilly really wants to know all about Daddy! She pushed all the buttons and turned all the knobs! It is like her own little hands-on museum.

She's never actually sat in the back seat. Hope she still likes that car seat on the other side.

She's always been in the driver's seat.

I imagine when Ernie left for work the next day that his radio was blasting country music, the windshield wipers were probably on highest speed, and his hazard lights were blinking!

The Magic of Yogurt

Lilly is a sometime eater. Sometimes she eats, sometimes she doesn't. Yogurt usually is a "go to" food. So I got those go-gurts that you can freeze so she could eat it from the tube with less mess. This has worked for quite some time. Unfortunately, we've been teaching her hot and cold and now holding her frozen yogurt is "too cold."

So we are back to eating it with the spoon.

And she is getting pretty good at eating it with the spoon.

Without getting it all over the place. See the clean face?

Lilly's Best Friend

I know, I know - you are probably expecting a great story about Lilly's best friend, Elsa, from Texas. Fortunately, Lilly has a best friend that lives much closer (just two lots down!) Brooke has all kinds of fun stuff to play on. Only problem - Lilly isn't big enough to play on them. Which causes much frustration and lots of tears for Lilly. But don't worry - Brooke's mom has just the thing for Lilly!

She swears it's safe. No, you don't need a helmet. She'll be fine. Not sure how long the battery will last though; it needs to be charged. And yes, Lilly loves it! Until you get to the bottom of the hill.

It runs on a 6 volt battery and even fully charged, it needs some pushing. And the battery only lasted one time down the hill! Gee thanks, Debbie.

So we went in for dinner while it charged. Brooke and Lilly played well into the evening. Not sure why Lilly wanted to push Brooke down the hill.

It's the uphill we need a little push. So of course, I think Lilly needs one of these things! Maybe a little more horsepower...
